The village itself sits on the shore of Virserumssjön, with five official swimming beaches and a community sauna. 

Virserum also boasts it's own ski slope, iceskating/ hockey hall,  an impressive art gallery, coffee shops, craft

centres and a furniture museum. Impressive for a population centre of just 1800 people!

This part of Småland offers outstanding gravel cycling through unbroken forest and 52 lakes within 5 miles of the village. 

Within a very easy 90 minutes drive of Virserum there are two tree top adventure trails, a glass museum, and the baltic coast, with further swimming and sauna opportunites.
