It is a basic right in Sweden to be able to access the water to swim and paddle and with 52 lakes within 5 miles of the village, you won't have to travel far to find your favourite spot!

There are designated and signposted swimming spots (badplats) on most lakes - the village of Virserum has atleast five of it's own, so you don't even need to cycle or drive for a dip! There are often jetties, diving platforms and even slides.
